Mt. Townsend Creamery believes in eating locally. Cheese is delicate and must be stored in perfect conditions for it to present as intended to the consumer. This is especially true for soft-ripened cheeses which are especially sensitive to changes in temperature and humidity. Given all of those dynamics and Mt. Townsend Creamery’s limited production capacity, we are focused on making our cheese widely available throughout the Northwest.
All of our products are available throughout Western Washington and Oregon at specialty cheese stores and specialty grocery stores. Additionally our cheese is found on the cheese plates of many fine restaurants throughout the northwest.
Mt. Townsend Creamery is open to visitors! Whether you are part of a large group or visiting on your own, we love sharing our passion for cheese and cheesemaking with guests. Our creamery layout puts the makeroom front and center for visitors to enjoy the magic and mystery of the process. It is helpful to call ahead if you have a group of six people or more.
