Welcome to Aldrich's Market
Aldrich's Uptown Market opened in 1895 and continues to solidly run today as Port Townsend's gathering place for groceries, salads, soups, wine, craft beer and with Sushi Ichiba in The Loft, the best sushi on this side of the water. Scott and Robin Rogers run the store not only as caretakers of history, but as active members of the community by empowering their employees and providing the very best in products and service.
Washington’s oldest grocery store
Aldrich's Market first opened in 1895 when Clark Aldrich purchased a variety store and operated it on the southwest corner of Lawrence and Tyler streets, in "uptown" Port Townsend.
